this is starting to freak me out

my mom's favorite singer has been michael jackson since she was little. i had never really noticed the similarities they shared until now. for one, jackson is known for his child like musings and "neverland" attitude. my mom is now 51 years old and is still stuck in her childhood. jackson had a rough childhood with his controlling dad. for my mom, it was her mom. they both are extremely addicted to prescription medications. this resulted in disturbing appearance and washed out skin. for jackson, this lead to his demise and ultimately, his death. he died on my mom's birthday. they were only a year apart in age. these similarities are not only disturbing, but just odd. i don't know what any of this means but damn...
